The narrow tributaries of the Digoel River are home to large barramundi where we hooked and caught fish up to 40 pounds. In the dry season, the water is shallow and full of snags requiring casts of no more than 20' to densely lined banks. Once hooked, the fish seek cover in the logs beneath.
